We’ve recently completed a website project for Allied CrossFit. It was SO MUCH FUN. Being the first official affiliate to use our new program, there was a learning curve, but ultimately it went very smoothly and those coming after Allied have the benefit of going down the road Gareth, the affiliate owner, paved. It’s a funny thing when worlds collide… As much as we worked on the outcome of the website, we also wondered into the gym to work on power snatch technique.
Gareth is a true coach at heart and it shows in everything he does… from the genuine interest he took in athletes that needed to steal a little attention during the course of our our meetings, to the confidence he has in his mission for the gym… “It’s all about what happens in there (pointing into the gym), that’s it.”
Although he choose to keep many of the theme’s design elements as-is for personal preference, Allied CrossFit’s new website is clearly distinguished. This is a great example of simplicity being amazing.
Some of the options that makes Allied CrossFit unique are its cover photos on each page. This photo is also pulled as the featured image should someone share the page on social media platforms that display an image with the shared link.
Another customization is the use of Zen Planner instead of the built-in calendar that the theme is equipped with. We’ve seen many Zen Planner integrations that required a lot of scrolling on the part of the person viewing it… not here, my friends.
Now that the website is up, Gareth saw an opportunity to promote items for sale and we’re working on a cool page for that. It’s so awesome that we get to help CrossFit affiliates maximize their potential. Best job ever.
